The Big and The Beautiful

Show coming up in march… Get some. After this past live painting thing i’m looking to start working towards this next thing, “The Big and The Beautiful.” As of now, this thing is looking out to be HUGE. If everything goes as i hope, doubtful, but if it does, it will be a two week thing, the first week will be all live painting, 5 murals in total, then in the second week all that mural painting will be time lapse and on video in a seperate room…. tentatively. Anyways, the AMS Gallery doesn’t really have a history of drawing in any kind of crowds at all. So, i hope with painted longboard decks, custom clothing, collabo pieces, live painting, and music this could draw in some crowds, even if it just a student crowd. Students still buy clothing, and especially cutom shit. And wait till you see what i’m bringing… Swiss$!!!

Pain’t for Peace… Yes it is.

Didn’t raise as much money as i think everyone hoped, but all in all a good event.

About 500 people must have come out, which was swizzeat, the only problem was that the artists were in charge of providing the majority of the guests and well young artists these days dont hang out with old people as much as they usually do…? Also, I think a lot of the art these days is geared towards a younger fashion based youth, whereas the people who were putting the money down on pieces were niether fashionable or youthful. Anyways, it was a lot of fun and made some good connections. Got in with this guy Jeff with a similar style (jeffromundo.com) , gunna look to rock out a collabo with him sometime in the near future and maybe get him to do some canvases for the unmench** Swiss$. Picked up one of his pieces too, but got out bid on the skate deck he did… shambles.

All of my pieces sold, which was lucky cause i was about to get a real self esteem crusher there at the end when the event organizer and his dad put money down on all the remaining pieces. Had a little bit of a betting war on the Munny doll and the picnic piece too. Moved a lot of bidness cards as well, and you know what that means…. “Bidness”. check out da pics.
