So after attempting to sleep last night, ( went to bed at 2, got up at 5:30. Just an awesome, full nights rest….not ) I decided to post a post. Mainly, i just want to thank everyone. All my friends who voted, all the people who didn’t know me who voted, my family, my girlfriend, everyone who knew me but i haven’t talk to in years. Foot Locker, Sapient nitro, DEC, for hosting the competition and giving me the amazing opportunity. My love goes out to everyone. Thank you all so much. This is litterally a life changing experience and all of you were a part of it.
I know i don’t need to touch on this but i even enjoy the negative stuff. Its an honor to me that people think i’m worth while to even comment on. Two, three, years ago people would never have given me the time of day, but now i have the honor of getting feedback from everyone, positive or negative, that i never would have had in the past. Thank you so much, it truly means the world to me. Here are some pictures. And there will be more to come!!! The one it links to is serious face but that was probably the only one i was able o wipe the big dopey smile off my face for. consider my life changed. Thank you so much Foot Locker.
Just thought I’d shoot out a quick update as the competition comes to a close. First off i want to thank everyone who has helped me out; voting, spamming, “liking,” sharing my entry to help me collect votes. Means a ton to me that people I don’t even know would help me out and the people I do know got my back. Now that that’s done, I just want to share some of the highlights from the past few weeks.
Primarily, I have acquired a new wardrobe for the exhibition on Thursday. For those of you who know me, I’m a bit of a scrub in the way I dress. Let’s put it this way, TLC would never give me no love….and that’s saying a lot considering TLC stands for Tender Love and Care. Some bullshiiiit. Anyways, Imma look sharp on Thursday, which is pretty significant for me. Next, I’ve been getting a lot of good publicity over the past few weeks. Which is great. Entering this competition has already paid off ten fold. I got some play in the Brisbane newspaper, as well as a few art blogs. Most recently and probably most notably a site called Design Montage. A nice little interview and some sweet shots from the production of Forbidden Fruit (Thanks Jenica!). And, Because I quite like those pics and I ALSO have a blog/website of my own, I figured I could post the ones I like. So, check em out and enjoy! “Making The Fruit”….
AND!!! IF you haven’t voted yet, Get it done!!!! TWO DAYS LEFT!!!! VOTE FOR FORBIDDEN FRUIT!!!
